Get your collect on with Street Fighter IV
BY Matthew Razak Dec. 5th, 2008 More on:

Collector’s editions are getting to be a dime a dozen these days. Hell, Ubisoft is giving the damn things away. So what’s a developer gotta do to get some attention with one? How about packaging in kick-ass figurines of Ryu and newcomer Crimson Viper in with the whole thing? Yea, that got you checking out just how much money you actually had stashed away for Street Fighter IV. Now you’re wondering what else could possibly come in such an Collector’s Edition Pack.

Well the answer is nothing if you live in North America, this pack is just for Europe and Australia. If you live on one of the those continents though than the list does indeed go on. On top of the statue of a fighting Ryu and Crimson Viper is a set of the classic “crowded Chinese downtown” area. The Collector’s Edition will include a plethora of other things too. The first is a bonus disc that has the feature length, HD quality anime Street Fighter movie made specifically for the launch of the game and some of the best trailers for the game itself. Second is a mini strategy guide created in the style of a comic art book, detailing the moves and biographies of four of the new characters to the series; Viper, Abel, El Fuerte and Rufu. Rounding out what must by now be a sizable box is some exclusive downloadable game content (Note: DLC has no effect on box size).

The set will be available on Feb. 20 for both the PS3 and the 360. If you’re North American there’s no reason to grimace, we’ll probably be getting the same thing you just gotta be patient.
