Game inspired bento boxes look great, hard to make

There is an art to even the most basic bento – a single-portion, home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine – let alone these gaming inspired masterpieces.

These artistically arranged meals by Anna The Red’s Bento Factory fall into the category of charaben, or character bento, which are elaborately arranged feasts for the eyes originally intended to get kids interested in that raw hunk of carrot getting scooted around the plate.
