Metal Gear Solid 4 isn’t dead after all! At least not in Japan. Even though there has been a lot of talk of how Guns of the Patriots didn’t do as good as some thought, in Japan it’s the highest on the list when it comes to copies sold. Other culprits include the mandatory Dynasty Warrior titles and, oddly enough, Hot Shots Golf seems to be hot stuff in the land of technology. Here’s the top 5 for the PS3’s highest selling titles ever in japan:

Metal Gear Solid 4 — 671,706
Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds — 408,175
Dynasty Warriors 6 — 371,580
Dynasty Warriors: Gundam — 317,580
Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 — 316, 533

As seen here, MGS4 won by a pretty impressive gap. I know it’s a lot bigger than I expected (that’s what she said, heheh). Now, my only question is, if there ever is a 5th game made, and you there will be, could it possibly live up to how great 4 was? One can only imagine. All that needs to happen now is the 360 rumors to be proven right or wrong. Though I don’t think that will be happening any time soon.
