Fight Night Round 4 trailer asks, “Ali or Tyson?”
BY Scott Posey Dec. 15th, 2008 More on:

Among the many new trailers unveiled last night at the VGAs, none were as visually pleasing as EA Sports’ upcoming Fight Night Round 4. With Peter Moore, EA Sport’s President, and Mike Tyson on hand to unveil the trailer, viewers were shown an adrenaline filled cut scene depicting the start of a fight between none other than Muhammad Ali and “Iron” Mike Tyson.

Announced back in May, details regarding the EA Canada-developed title have been few and far between. What we do know is that a few boxers have been announced for the mix including Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Lennox Lewis, and the infamous Mike Tyson. Besides that, EA has been extremely tight lipped on the project which has an estimated mid 2009 release.

After watching the trailer above, who do you think would take the prize? Would Ali survive Tyson’s trademark right hook to the body followed by an uppercut? Or would Ali’s careful combination of evasion and attack wear Tyson down before he got the chance? All I know is that Ali better cover up those ears!

Oh, I definitely agree with you. Tyson may have Ali beat in the power department, but Ali more than makes up for it in stamina.

Seriously, Ali wouldn’t stand a god damn chance against Tyson in top shape.

what!? tyson was a great fighter, but he couldn’t hit any harder than foreman hit ali in zaire. look what happened there. toe to toe tyson would win, but ali wouldn’t let that happen.

I agree with you Lee. Toe to toe, Tyson would win. But, there’s a lot of other factors involved like stamina, speed, etc. It is in those areas I think Ali would win and ultimately take the fight.

Tyson was a fucking beast in the ’80s. I just can’t see Ali being able to stand up to him. Ali could move like the wind, but so could Tyson.

But I agree, you are probably way more into this than I am. If you say he wouldn’t stand a chance that’s probably true… perhaps. Damn you all.

Ali, hands down. Tyson was just a bruiser, Ali would out move him and then take him out.

yu know what Ali’s jab was superfast but had no power in it. Tyson’s head movement would get him around it, if not he would smile and keep on coming

      Mike Tyson Would take him

      thats what i think init

Muhammed ali vs mike tyson just emigine what would happen then look at past fights that ali has had like with george foreman ali was underestimated to the max then he ended up winning
george foreman has more power than mike tyson i think Ali vs mike would be A great challenge for both of them people need to understand the only thing people can give to that fight is an opinion ali isnt called THE GREATEST for no reason
