You just put your lips together and blow…into the microphone. Then sit back – you’re going to have to just to catch your breath between songs – and watch your gamerscore climb the charts. That’s the achievement-whoring technique pioneered by Destructoid’s Brad Nicholson, who originally bought Lips for his karaoke game-loving girlfriend. After she wracked up several hundred achievement points in as many minutes, he decided to give the game a try and quickly found the mouth breathing method much preferable, and more profitable, than actually singing. I am so on board with this. This is similar to the mumble technique that has made me many enemies, but always boosted me to platinum when playing Karaoke Revolution. I wonder if the breathing technique would work just as well, though I dare not try it on Crazy In Love for fear of passing a lung. Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh, oh no no no.
