Have a bloody holiday with Left 4k Dead
BY Mike Wehner Dec. 26th, 2008 More on:

Did your Christmas not turn out as planned? Did grandma get you a pair of wool socks instead of Left 4 Dead like you asked? Well we can help. Or rather Markus Persson can, as his recent entry into the Java 4k competition, Left 4k Dead, is a super-slimmed, top-down version of Valve’s zombie slayer. The game is controlled with just a handful of keys and still manages to offer the same hectic, desperate atmosphere as the original. It’s kind of refreshing to take a break from the hi-def gaming realm for an hour or two and just murder zombies the way nature intended — in two fantastic, blocky, gorgeous dimensions. If you ask us, every game needs an old-school remake of itself. Gears of War? Ok, never mind.

Nice find. That’s a pretty cool version of the game!
