There are many things in this world that make us happy. One of them is a game where stuff blows up good. Battlestations: Pacific from Eidos looks to be one of these games. This is mostly thanks to the fact that there is a lot of stuff to blow up. The action-strategy game has stuff blowing up under the sea, on the sea and in the air as the new trailer above shows. I personally enjoy the torpedoes into the side of a ship tactic but others might prefer to simply shoot an aircraft carrier into oblivion using a fighter plane. Either way, the enemy will be meeting Davey Jones sooner than he wants.
The trailer and screens were sent out to celebrate the launch of the game’s new site Battlestations.net, where Eidos hopes to build an online community for a game that really needs a strong one when it launches. Most, if not all, of the real fun is going to come from taking Pacific online and seeing if you can beat the snot out of enemy Navies. Though, the developers are promising two distinctly different single-player campaigns. Looks promising, especially thanks to the fact that we already know that Battlestations: Midway was a good game that just needed some tweaks here and there.
