We’re all friends here — I think — so it’s safe to tell you I would beat up a hundred kids for their lunch money and attain a five-star wanted level to get the classic Japan-only shooter, Radiant Silvergun, on XBLA. If you were cool, back in the day, you could import it for Sega Saturn, then get punched in the stomach for bragging about nerdy things on the playground. It was well worth the risk.
Treasure CEO, Masato Maegawa, spilled the beans about Microsoft wanting a remake to hit XBLA, but is unsure of the final decision. Maegawa-san stated, “We’re thinking about it, certainly, but it’s not as simple as just saying ‘OK, let’s put it up.’ I mean, sure, with Ikaruga, we released it as-is without having to do or add a great deal to the game, and it was popular and well accepted for what it was. But if you play Radiant Silvergun nowadays, it’s certainly aged in assorted ways, and I’m not sure they’re all good.”
I know there are a bunch of people that gripped their monitors by the sides as if they were a fat kid’s cheeks and yelled into the heavens, “COME OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!” It’s cool, because I did too, but I actually accosted a fat kid for his lunch money and now the cops are after me. What did I tell you before?
