Microsoft loves to give keynotes and while the one at this year’s CES was light on game news that doesn’t mean it was completely lacking. In fact for many, announcing anything about Halo is the biggest gaming news there is. So I guess in some circles the news that Halo Wars has been bumped up to a Feb. 28 release in the US, allowing Americans to play it at the same time as the rest of the world, makes the keynote very heavy on gaming news.
Robbie Bach of Microsoft also announced at the keynote that the game would be getting a demo on Feb. 5. If that isn’t enough Halo news for you than take pleasure in knowing that Bach also assured everyone that Halo 3: ODST will be landing this year. I don’t know about you, but I’m glad they’re giving us a demo early on. I’m still very up in the air about Halo Wars.
Update: Whoops, it seems Bach misspoke as Microsoft has issued a correction stating the US release is still March 3.
