Ubisoft has just announced that they will be working with Techland again to produce another Call of Juarez game, titled Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. The game will be a prequel to the original and, though not really confirmed, probably play a lot like it too. The game will span from Civil War era Georgia to the strange southern lands of Mexico. Players will jump into the shoes of both McCall brothers, hinting that the story will once again have players on both the side of good and evil or deciding which is which. Sounds like the same wild west FPS action we got before, but hopefully a bit better.
Though the press release says that fans and critics loved the first game, we remember the story a bit different. The original Call of Juarez was a fine effort, but far from a well polished game. Hopefully this will give the developers a chance to actually make the western FPS we’ve all been waiting for. The game will hit some time this year for the PS3, 360 and PC.
