If this one doesn’t come true then don’t blame us. According to the Loose Talk section in the latest Game Informer, Rockstar North are already working on a brand spanking new Grand Theft Auto and it should be out by Xmas 2009.
Quoted by PSU, the article states: “We’re not talking about new DLC or a collection of previously available DLC, we’re talking about a full retail game. We expect this title to follow the suit of previous GTAs and use a subtitle such as GTA: San Andreas, etc. Tokyo might be a possible setting for the game, but details are non-existent at this time.”
How about that? It’s plausible that using the architecture of GTA IV they could knock out a new one in a year, and as PSU points out Vice City was released just 12 months after GTA III. So it’s possible, probable even, but not yet proven. We’ll keep you posted.

Vice City Stories was released one year after Liberty City Stories as well. I’m seeing a trend.

Yea, the key is they don’t make bad yearly games. I’m fine with that.

Perhaps the new town will have cars that don’t feel like gigantic bars of soap.

They probably started as GTAIV was winding down. And if it is Tokyo it’ll be my “Told You So!” to the world.
That or London. Especially since The Getaway died.

Itll be delayed till early 2010 though.
but still, cannot wait.
GTA4 was in the top 5 of last year for sure.

This year? as in 2009? As in they already have chinatown wars and the 360 dlc content? As in a PS blog needs something to hang on to for hope?
