Mass Effect 2-disc edition next month?
BY Rain Anderson Jan. 18th, 2009 More on:

If you missed the merry go around that is Mass Effect when it was first released in late 2007, here’s a chance to pick up the Xbox 360 version of the sci-fi action RPG and get some serious bang for your buck while doing it — Gamestop is listing a 2-disk edition of the game with a Feb. 10 release date. Along with the “Bring Down the Sky” content that was released as DLC early last year, the re-release comes with a documentary, trailers, music, and design galleries. All for a very affordable $19.99.

Seeing as Gamestop is a US retailer, this deal is US-only. We’ve contacted BioWare for more details, including release plans for other regions. Stay tuned.

It looks like I am re-buying Mass Effect. That game was seriously amazing in every aspect. I would basically kill to see additional behind the scenes content of this beautiful crafted masterpiece.

      WARNING!
The Pinnacle Station DLC won’t work if you already own the 2-disc set with the Bring Down the Sky DLC; apparently, either DLC episode is mutually exclusive in terms of working or not - if you own one, then the other won’t work. I surmise if I buy the BDtS DLC that it might then work with the new DLC, but Microsoft won’t provide any details other that “they are aware of the problem” - no word on when a solution is expected or whether they will get back to those affected.

They kept selling the defective DLC after learning it wasn’t working, so it is intentional now.

      Typically horrible service.
