Oh, Flash games. How you tease me. Sitting there on my work desk, winking at me from my browser, luring me in with your simple charms and promises of illicit thrills. I would, I mean I’d love to, but it’s just too dangerous. I know, I know, but last time was different. It was a one off. If the boss sees us again he’ll go crazy. You know what he’s like, he doesn’t understand our love. Nobody understands… Oh go on then, maybe just a quick go.
There you have it, a quick glimpse into the dark recesses of my mind, a mind made all the more dark and recess-y with news that a Flash demo of Puzzle Quest Galactrix is now available. The full release will be Puzzle Quest‘s usual mix of RPG and puzzle game elements, but the demo shows off the core gameplay of a typical battle, pitting you against the probably evil, definitely hat wearing General Tam.
Things have changed a bit since Puzzle Quest Challenge of the Warlords. The same ‘link three colours together’ mechanic exists but now the squares have been replaced by hexagons, and instead of falling downwards gravity shifts according to the direction you move your tiles. It sounds confusing, but you get the hang of it after a while. It’s certainly better than doing work anyway. Go on, give in to temptation.
The full game will be released on Xbox Live Arcade, PC, DS and PlayStation Network soon.
