I Am Alive crawling out of the rubble in March

Ubisoft is planning on a March release for I Am Alive, their original first-person disaster survival adventure that forces players to “think, react and take risks that will directly affect themselves and those around them” as they search for water, shelter and safety in the ruins of an earthquake-devastated Chicago.

“We encourage the players to use tactics, diversion, and discretion,” said senior producer Alexis Goddard about the limited focus on weapons. “We wanted the player to really feel the power of Mother Nature, to feel the danger coming from the collapsing towers and devastating rifts, feel the chaos happening all around him.”

Speaking of collapse, we worry that the PR-machine for this mysterious title has suffered some kind of misfortune, what with the proposed release just a few flips of the calendar away and still so little information available on the title. Perhaps there’s a press release pinned beneath a refrigerator. A story trailer trapped down a well. A website clinging to a tree root at the edge of a ravine. Whatever the case, a search party should be organized immediately to bring us more details about this interesting, albeit enigmatic new title – I don’t think the unreleased screenshots can tread water in that freezing lake much longer!
