Lets face it, Killzone 2 doesn’t need any more hype. We have a feeling it’s going to be one of the best games on the PS3 or at least one of the best games of 2009. The release date isn’t until the end of February but the whole of Europe and anyone from North America who pre-ordered Killzone 2 from GameStop will get first access to the demo well before the retail release on February 5, 2009. That’s just dandy for that crowd, but that doesn’t mean everyone else will have to sit and stare with envy.

A representative from Sony Europe has confirmed that a general release of the Killzone 2 demo will happen on February 26, 2009 - the day before the retail release. Two areas of the first level called “Beach Landing” and “Warehouse” will be playable. Killzone 2 is said to have controls that take a little getting used to so a tutorial will be thrown in as well to get us all up to speed.
