If you saw this one coming than you can clearly see into the future and you should be ridiculously rich. During a conference call on EA’s Q3 fiscal year EA’s John Riccitiello talked a bit about EA’s support for the Wii. As he talked about games coming out in the upcoming year for the Wii he casually dropped the fact that EA is developing a Dead Space game for the Wii. Yes, Dead Space. Yes, Wii. Yes, possibly this year. Riccitiello says they believe the game will be as scary and atmospheric as the 360 and PS3 game and that they’re putting a great development team behind it and treating it as a first tier game.

You should have heard how causally he dropped it, like it wasn’t going to explode the internet.

Is this going to explode the Internet? I mean, it’s neat, and I hope it turns out well, but I’ve already got it on 360 and I’m not terribly excited about playing it again, even with (hopefully) improved controls.

I’ll certainly give it a rent to see how the controls fare, but if they announce it as something different than what was on the PS3/360/PC, I’ll be all kinds of interested.

Not to quote Mr Reeves but.
Whoa.

Could be good. EA will likely make money, but they probably should have released it on the Wii simultaneously when they released it on 360/PS3.

He definitely made it sound like it would be a different game, just within the Dead Space franchise.
