Street Fighter IV’s Japanese DLC detailed
BY Lee Bradley Feb. 4th, 2009 More on:

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine contains the first details of Street Fighter IV’s downloadable content. According to the Japanese mag (translated by IGN), premium costume packs and a free new game mode will be made available from the Japanese release date of Feb. 12.

A total of five different costume packs will be available to download, each containing alternative outfits for five different fighters. One pack will be released each week. Following this, a “combo pack” will be made available collecting all 25 different costumes for each one of the game’s characters. Each pack is priced at ¥400 on PS3 or 320 Microsoft Points each, the “combo pack” will cost ¥1,200 or 1000 Microsoft Points.

Also available sometime after releaser will be a free Championship Mode offering “tournament-style network play.” The highest ranking players in this mode will have their replay data uploaded for the rest of us to watch and learn from. Whilst all this information is currently Japan-only, expect a worldwide announcement soon.
