Dead Rising 2 official, goes multiplatform
BY Jeremy Hill Feb. 9th, 2009 More on:

After tons of unofficial reports and speculation, Capcom has confirmed that Dead Rising 2 is being developed by Blue Castle Games for the Xbox 360, PC and PS3. Even though Dead Rising 2 has a different developer than the previous game, several members from the original development team will play a role in the sequel’s creation, including Capcom’s global head of research and development, Keiji Inafune, who steps into the producer’s shoes.

Dead Rising 2 ditches the mall setting in the town of Willamette in favor of a new location called Fortune City, a gambling paradise, many years after the first game. And that’s it, that’s all Capcom is telling us for now. They’re promising to release more details about the gameplay and the plot “shortly” and when they do, we’ll be all over it like zombies on brains. For now, the video above and screens below will have to do.
