Life lessons from Left 4 Dead
BY Kristen Spencer Feb. 16th, 2009 More on:

Despite delivering a inventive, immersive experience built around cooperative multiplayer gameplay, Valve’s successful zombie shooter does have its share of textbook “deus ex machinas” - let’s hope when the zombie apocalypse comes to pass, turning a majority of the population into flesh-craving, brain-munching monsters, we will be among the handful of plucky humans somehow immune to the virus, forced to band together for survival using our intuitive knowledge of firearms.

Let’s also hope some of Golden Silver’s Left 4 Dead gleaned survival tips, like using gauze to heal even the most life-threatening injuries and finding high powered weaponry and ammunition literring every tabletop, turn out to be true. It will make his Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide an even more worthwhile read, should life imitate videogames for a change.
