Pissing Contest: Microsoft dominates Europe

Hey fanboys! Did you know that the Xbox 360 holds a lead over the PS3 in the Europe? You didn’t? Then it is a good thing Vice President of the EMEA region, Chris Lewis, is around to remind you. In an interview with gameindustry.biz, Lewis pointed to many sources that put the 360 ahead by “approximately 1 million units” and that isn’t just in Europe. Oh no, that also includes the Middle East and Africa.

However, these numbers don’t include PAL regions such as Australia and New Zealand. Also, it’s worth noting that the Xbox 360 was introduced to Europe in 2005, while the PS3 arrived March 2007. Of course this isn’t gloating, Lewis was quick to point out that this isn’t a showing of arrogance on their part. He firmly states that the company is “highly respectful” of its competitors. They just own Europe, no big deal.
