MTV Games and Harmonix get their charity on
BY Tommy Lawler Feb. 19th, 2009 More on:

Kind of unusual to hear news like ‘Game company does nice thing for people in need,’ but it’s certainly welcome. MTV Games and Harmonix are supporting a group called the Starlight Children’s Foundation, who focus on supporting extremely ill children and their families by providing them entertainment and a little boost of joy to their lives. What they’re doing is donating a cool minimum of $50,000 to the organization and over 650 Rock Band bundles. The bundles will make their way to the Foundation’s Great Escape family events as well as hospitals around the country. Also part of their Great Escape event will be opportunities for some children to actually meet the developers, go behind the scenes and even check out some upcoming Harmonix products. Overall a pretty generous showing by the two companies, and one we here give a collective thumbs up to.
