PSP getting LittleBigPlanet, Assassin’s Creed and more |

2008 was a lackluster year for the PSP. The platform had a couple gems such as Crisis Core FFVII and God of War: Chains of Olympus but it was hardly enough to give the PSP a leg up on the DS. Sony promises 2009 will be the year when great software will flourish on the PSP and it’s proving it at SCEA’s annual Destination PlayStation retail and publisher event.
The rumors of LittleBigPlanet coming to PSP are true. Media Molecule are developing levels specifically for the PSP version while keeping the core gameplay intact. Ubisoft is bringing Assassin’s Creed to the platform but hasn’t revealed any further details. Harmonix take Rock Band Unplugged to the console while using the PSP’s WiFi capabilities to include an in-game store to download songs. Madden NFL 10 will let us take rosters from the PSP and transfer them over to the PS3 version of the game. Furthermore MotorStorm: Arctic Edge and two bundles will be available in 2009 featuring a lilac colored PSP with a Hannah Montana game and a black PSP with Assassin’s Creed for $199.

Now that SCE has canned GO!Messenger (at last!) perhaps we’ll see Skype evolve to include video chat — maybe even *text* chat if we’re lucky! If this happens, maybe this will convince SCE to also implement a Skype client for the PS3, and finally bring the PSP and PS3 together for real.

Damned, can’t they improve the only thing they totally get wrong ???
really cool and promisssing line-up otherwise, disapointed by the cg trailer of Motorstorm but can’t wait to check and play most of those titles !!!
