Tiger Woods and tennis for the Wii, now with 100% more MotionPlus
BY Chad George Feb. 27th, 2009 More on:

EA today gave Wii owners a reason to circle June 16 on our calendars. In an effort to satisfy our thirst for all things EA, they are releasing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis simultaneously. A golf game AND a tennis game for the Wii?!?  Yes, it’s been done before, but apparently not like this. These will be the first games from the EA stable that utilize the Wii MotionPlus technology all the kids are talking about.

With the Wii MotionPlus accessory, designed to improve controller movement detection, “slicing a winner on Centre Court at Wimbledon or dropping an 8 iron pin high on No. 17 at TPC Sawgrass have never felt better,” said Peter Moore, President, EA SPORTS. Because, you know, we would hate to have the real feeling spoiled.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will allow players to control their drive from tee box to green with a 1:1 swing mechanic, living the life of a PGA pro. EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis lets players create a customized character and pursue a career playing with, and against, tennis greats from the past and present in an effort to win all four Grand Slams, eventually playing on the Centre Court of Wimbledon.
