Ouch: Street Fighter movie’s box office is low |

Look, we were pleasantly surprised by the not-the-worst-movie-ever-made-ness of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. It of course wasn’t any good at all, but it had some moments that made it tolerable. Evidently no one really wanted to test the waters and find out for themselves though as the film only brought in $4.7 million from 1,136 theaters. That’s only $4,093 per theater. 4.7 million is a big number, but that is abysmal in opening weekend terms, especially for the amount of theaters it opened in. Of course it isn’t a big surprise that the film slumped. Was anyone that excited for it?

No. They wouldn’t bring Van Damme back to play Guile.

The only way I am going to see this movie is if Charlie Nash does a reverse Flash Kick a la Street Fighter Alpha series. If not, then COUNT ME OUT.
