The promised demo of The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is now available on Xbox LIVE, weighing a healthy 638MB. We won’t get to go on a space walk in a mech, but the demo will allow all Furyan wannabes to get a little sampling of some other gameplay aspects, including “brutal melee combat, nerve-rattling stealth, and high-powered gunplay,” and even let’s us take a Drone for a test drive in a level called Athena Main Decks.

As the title betrayed, the demo is out only on LIVE for now, but rest easy PS3-owners, the demo is “coming soon” to the PSN as well. The screens below, in case you wondered, show off areas available in the demo.
