We are just over one week away from the release of Resident Evil 5 on the PS3 and Xbox 360. While the game no longer focuses on fending off hordes of the undead it still has more than its fair share of bloodshed. However, the blood of possessed villagers isn’t enough for Capcom and the company is asking for our precious plasma for the American Red Cross.

If you happen to be near the World of Wonder gallery in Hollywood, CA on March 13 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., you can donate your blood and possibly win a red Resident Evil Xbox 360 or copies of Resident Evil 5. Anyone who donates will receive limited edition RE5 swag such as posters and bumper stickers. The event will also have kiosks set up so donators can check out the game before heading out to purchase it.
