It’s a Nintendo game information bonanza! Today we learn some actual details on the upcoming and much wanted Punch-Out!! First and foremost is the controls, because old school gamers like us don’t want no fancy motion controlling punches, we want good old button precision punches. Punch-Out!! is going to deliver. Much like Mario Kart Wii the game will feature an option for either motion controls or classic controls. Meaning we can all have fun wailing our arms about pretending to be Little Joe, but when the going gets tough and some actual precision is needed we can sit down and turn our Wii Remote sideways.

Outside of that epically awesome bit of information we learn that the game will feature plenty of the classic characters we all remember beating up so well. Little Mac, Glass Joe, King Hippo, Doc Louis, Von Kaiser and other unannounced favorites will be returning. No word on if Nintendo plans to give us some new characters to punch relentlessly into submission. Star Punches will also be returning. Now we just have to wait and see if Little Joe will be keeping up his strenuous training regimen exactly the same as the classic game or if he’s advanced beyond simply running outside.
