Guitar Hero Greatest Hits comes rocking

What exactly is a greatest hit in the eyes of the makers of Guitar Hero Greatest Hits? Why it’s a song that was really popular in the previous Guitar Hero games that you always wanted to play with your new band you got together for World Tour, but you couldn’t. The track list has some pretty good songs on it including, “Them Bones” by Alice in Chains, Queen’s “Killer Queen,” “Nothin’ But A Good Time” by Poison, Rage Against The Machine’s “Killing in the Name,” “I Wanna Rock” by Twisted Sister, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock N Roll,” Heart’s “Barracuda” and Guitar Hero III favorite Dragonforce’s “Through the Fire and Flames.”

What is cool about this is that most of those songs work pretty well as a whole band thing, and would have definitely been missed out on if they weren’t republished. What isn’t cool is that there isn’t any word on if we’ll be paying full price on a bunch of tracks we already had. Also, why isn’t this game just DLC? Couldn’t they just call these enhanced releases and release them that way? I suppose if you have to do retail for the Wii version why not do it for all three.
