Microsoft announce “Days of Arcade”
BY Lee Bradley Mar. 5th, 2009 More on:

Last year’s ‘Summer of Arcade’ was a bit of a turning point for Xbox Live Arcade. Finally realising the potential of Xbox 360’s download service, the event saw a string of top quality titles released over a one month period. With the arrival of games like Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Braid, downloadable titles briefly eclipse their plastic-boxed big brothers, making ‘Summer of Aracde’ a massive critical and commercial success.

Fast forward to 2009, and Microsoft are looking to repeat the accomplishment with ‘Days of Arcade.’ This year’s event — announced by Xbox Live’s Major Nelson over at his blog — promises no less than seven titles over a six-week period, kicking off with Hasbro Family Game Night on March 18. Fear not though, it’s not all casual-friendly guff, as The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, Flock, Lode Runner, Outrun Online Arcade, Uno Rush and Puzzle Quest: Galactrix are all on their way too. Not a bad line-up eh?

Beyond Family Game Night, Microsoft haven’t announced what order these games will be coming in, but good old Major Nelson has promised to let us know each Monday before their Wednesday release dates. How terribly splendid of him.

Flock looks like so much damn fun. I’ve been having a great time with all the PSN games… Fl0w, Flower, Echochrome…

Is anybody actually going to buy Uno Rush? Seriously. We already have Uno. We don’t need another one. They had better release it for 400 MS Points if they want to sell any.
