Most of the time DLC simply gives us more of what we already had. In the case of Tomb Raider: Underworld‘s DLC, Lara’s Shadow, this isn’t true at all. In fact players won’t even be controlling Lara Croft this time around, instead jumping into the shoes of her Doppleganger. From what the devs are saying this looks like a change not only in tone, but in gameplay itself. More action and less exploring. Hopefully they’ve reworked a few of Lara’s fighting mechanics to make the game play better this way. Seems that giant world puzzles are still around, but a Tomb Raider with emphasis on battle should be interesting to say the least.
