Edge magazine is currently celebrating its 200th issue, and to mark the event they’ve published a ‘100 Best Games To Play’ list. Nope, not the best 100 games ever but the best 100 games to play. We’ll let them explain:
“This time we wanted to make it personal by asking the question, if you had every game ever made at your fingertips, which would we play right now? What are the games, shorn of nostalgia and presumption, that we would actually want to spend time playing?”
It’s not a bad idea. Publish a top 100 games list and you’ve got to include stuff like Pong and Space Invaders, but most of the time you don’t actually want to play the damn things. What you get instead is a an overview of the best games you could sit down with tomorrow and still enjoy. It makes for interesting reading. Yeah, we’re a sucker for a list here at TVGB.
You can find an abridged version of the feature over at Edge Online, while the full monty — published in the latest episode of the mag — also includes favourite games from industry gurus like Gabe Newell and Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada. But, just in case you can’t be bothered to look for yourself, we’ll tell you what’s number one - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You lazy, lazy schmuck.

This list irritates me for one reason. There’s no Kotor on it.

the top 4 are probably my top 4 too
It’s a fairly good list I think.
Kotor 1 should have made it yes and god of war 2 should replace god of war 1

I really don’t like Ocarina of Time…no thanks. But it was sweet that Nintendo pretty much swept the competition! (puts fanboy part of himself away now)
I think GoW1 > GoW2.
