The Doppelganger creeps out of Lara’s Shadow
BY Rain Anderson Mar. 10th, 2009 More on:

The second 360-exclusive Tomb Raider: Underworld DLC, Lara’s Shadow, is now available on Xbox LIVE, Eidos informs us today. The 800 MS Point download brings some faster, more action-oriented gameplay to the Tomb Raider table as the shoes of Lara’s Doppelganger have been made available for us to step into.

While both DLCs disappoint gamers who hoped to explore more warm locales with dense vegetation and crystal clear oceans, lovers of dark, moody areas, a whole lot of grey rock surfaces and deadly blue goo can consider themselves to be catered to once more. Let’s just keep our collective fingers crossed that whatever dark vibe Crystal Dynamics seems to be enjoying at the moment won’t carry over to the next game. We all know how The Angel of Darkness turned out.

Don’t fancy these dark places either. And TR is about exploring, not action.

This is a horrible trailer, i could’ve made a better one with my eyes shut. There are many warm locales with dense vegetation and crystal clear oceans levels in the game. I’m not sure why the trailer is only showing dark caverns and tombs, but I assure you I played the game and find it amazingly awesome. Should satisfy anyone looking to play an exploring/action game, since that’s what all tomb raider games are all about anyways.

The trailer is for Lara’s Shadow, Guss. AKA one of the DLCs, not the full game.
