Downloadable content for Valkyria Chronicles is on its way. Sega have confirmed that not one, not two, but three separate DLC packs will hit the PS3 exclusive strategy-RPG this Spring. Sega said, “The three new packs include Hard EX Mode, Edy’s Mission ‘Enter the Edy Detachment’, and Selvaria’s Mission ‘Behind Her Blue Flame’,” adding, “Each of the three new packs will supply players with a brand new experience.”

It breaks down like this; Hard EX mode is a toughened up campaign that forces you to go without the Edelweiss tank (basically a new difficulty setting). Edy’s Mission “Enter the Edy Detachment” puts you in command of six members of Squad 7 as they attempt to defend a village under attack by the Imperial Army, and in Selvaria’s Mission “Behind Her Blue Flame” you play as Johann, a “young and meek” Imperial engineer, allowing you to see the war play out through the eyes of the enemy.
