China’s anti-addiction policy works
BY Vidal Stewart Mar. 22nd, 2009 More on:

A few months ago there was a report that China would require Chinese gamers to provide their government ID numbers whenever they play games. The system was created to track the amount of hours one would play a game and stop them when they were playing too long, a method of reducing addiction if you will.

According to the Chinese government, the system has been successful. The number of Chinese online gamers has dropped 15 percent of total pool of recorded players in 2008, according to a survey done by the China Youth Social Service Center. Another survey shows that 60 percent of players under 18 are satisfied with the anti-addiction system. To add, those stats are legitimate, according to the Chinese government.

The Chinese government would say that 80 % of all teenagers were satisfied if there was a ban on all porn as well.
