One remote to rule them all… finally
BY Chad George Mar. 22nd, 2009 More on:

Remotes. If you are anything like us, you have at least two of them sitting around your house. Add in one more if you have a PlayStation 3 and are so OCD that you cannot use the PS3 controller to watch your movies. Enter Logitech’s Harmony line of remotes to end those multiple remote ways.

The company will soon release an adapter for the PS3 that will allow the console to be controlled by Harmony remotes, previously not possible due to the system’s lack of an IR receiver. Owners of the adapter will have control over most functions of the PS3 with the remote, such as the ability to cycle power and control movie playback, without losing a USB port.

In a blog post, Logitech marketing manager for gaming products Troy Petersen said more details, price structure, and availability will come “very soon.” We only ask that it not be another battery powered accessory, we’ll give up a USB port as a sacrifice for the ability to consolidate our coffee table clutter a bit more.
