Katamari Damacy is a great game series, but it got a little old. The levles stayed decently creative, but it definitely lost something as time progressed. One of the reasons for that might have been the fact that the graphics never changed, not even after jumping onto current-gen consoles. The next game in the series, Katamari Damacy Tribute, which will land on the PS3, is set to change that or at least give the option to change that.

As you can see in the trailer above players will have the option to play in the traditional graphic style or you can play it with cell-shaded wonder graphics. Neither option changes the game, they just look different. If you’re into shadows you’ll also be able to play in a mode that is like the original style, but looks nicer. Shadows are so next-gen it’s scary.
