Rumor / PS2 dropping to $99 in April

Sony promised it would have a big announcement on Tuesday and seeing how there was no PS3 price drop at GDC, one would believe that would be the announcement. At least that’s what we thought until pictures of a computer screen suggesting a PS2 price cut appeared online. If these photos are accurate then the PS2 will drop to $99 on April 5. Not exactly what the public was hoping for but we’ll know for sure tomorrow.

Nico March 30th, 2009 at 11:05 am	(..) Not exactly what the public was hoping for (..) hum I’m pretty sure that the public want this price drop ! Awesome news for consumer if true, ps2 is a exelent purchase specially now with all the amazing title to discover.

Rain Anderson March 30th, 2009 at 11:53 am	I think everyone who knew that an announcement is coming today were hoping for a PS3, not PS2, price cut. But sure, any price cut is welcome, even though most people following gaming news this closely probably already have a PS2.
