The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai slashes its way to XBLA
BY Lee Bradley Mar. 30th, 2009 More on:

The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai finally arrives on Xbox LIVE this week. Winner of Microsoft’s 2007 Dream-Build-Play competition, the 2D blood-fest will be available to download from Wednesday, April 1.

This is what the game is about; “An undead samurai dishwasher in a dystopian universe is on a quest for revenge against an evil cyborg army.” Read that again, go on I’ll wait. Done? Now tell me you don’t want to play this game! There’s more awesome in that sentence than should be legally possible.

For those of you that aren’t convinced let us provide a few more details. Players can slice their way through the campaign on their own or via a drop-in co-op mode that supports up to three players. Intriguingly, you can also play ‘Phantom co-op’ and dish out some axe-based death with your guitar peripheral. Add to that some speed-run and high-score challenges to add a bit of replayability and you’re looking at 800 Microsoft Points worth of bloody good fun.
