Are you ready for some FOOOOTBALL!? Or more aptly, are you read for some STANDING IN LANE WAITING TO BUY SOME SIMULATED FOOOOOTBALL!? If so mark the date on your calendar because the next iteration of Madden is going to hit on Aug. 14. Yea, it’s a ways away, but football season never really dies. The theme of the game this year is fighting for every yard and new features will let players drag defenders, step up in the pocket, grapple for a fumble at the bottom of a pile and enjoy a new animation technology.

Great news for Wii fans too. The game is being redesigned graphically from the ground up to “epitomizes what fun looks like on the Wii.” Excuse me I have to go punch some babies I’m so pissed. We don’t know what this “genre -defining art style”is going to look like, but we’d put money on the character’s heads being oversized. It is understandable that EA wants to market to as wide an audience as possible, but trust us EA, people who play Madden on their Wii’s want it as realistic as possible. Oh, well hopefully they don’t go too far. There’s going to be fake draft and cover announcement coming April 24 too, but we’re doing annoyed to write anymore so hit the jump for the press release about it all.

Madden NFL 10 will kick off the season with the Madden NFL 10 Draft Experience hosted exclusively at maddennfl.easports.com on Saturday, April 25^th. The innovative website will feature a live, streaming draft analysis show produced right from Madden headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature several interactive elements, including live call-ins from NFL athletes, on-site correspondents from New York City, and the chance for Madden fans to phone in with comments and questions. As players are drafted, their official Madden NFL 10 ratings will be released and discussed live. The website will also feature dynamic polls, social networking feeds, photos from the NFL Draft, and live blogs from the Madden NFL 10 player ratings team. The Madden NFL Draft Experience is a fully interactive destination for NFL and Madden fans alike.
