Everyone’s favorite time manipulating puzzle platformer, Braid, is finally available on Steam (h/t Evil Avatar). So for those who stick to PC’s over 360’s, your time has finally come.

The innovative, challenging, and uniquely beautiful platformer has been limited to the Xbox Live Arcade since its release but thankfully, the powers that be have released it to a wider audience. Games like Braid need to be distributed widely, as they show how videogames don’t have to be online poker and shooters. And while its short length counts against it, Braid’s satisfying puzzles and unqiue gameplay make the experience worthwhile and engaging. It brings hope to those of us in the gaming community who dream for a time when indie developers will make thought provoking games that raise the medium above mere entertainment. For $14.99, it’s a steal.
