Sega has launched a teaser site for a new Shining Force entry to the Shining franchise, promising new info on Apr. 17th. Lately the Shining series has been faltering with titles that strayed far from their Strategy RPG roots on Genesis, but every time they get ready to announce a new title, I can’t help but hope for one of two results: a current-gen return to the original roots of Shining Force 1 & 2, or a DS port of Shining Force II. Maybe that makes me old fashioned, so sue me, it has FORCE in the name.

I am sure we won’t get either one, but it never hurts to keep hope alive. Look out for more info on the 17th.
