The design process of Left 4 Dead’s box art

In a post at the official Left 4 Dead blog, Valve artist Jeremy Bennett gives readers a look at the process of creating balanced and noticeable box art. It’s pretty interesting to go behind the creative process of designing something that is supposed to not only give the potential player an idea of what the game is but at the least, have the box differentiate from the rows of other games on a retail shelf.
