Battlefield Heroes looks and sounds fun |

When DICE described Battlefield Heroes as a “cartoon shooter” they were not joking around. After watching the series of three videos just released you can feel the cartoon seeping from every pixel of this game — from the animations right down to the sound effects. We’re just hanging on every frame waiting for an anvil or piano to fall on someone’s head.
We still have no exact release date (open beta starts in the summer) and it is still in beta testing. The game is still free and going to be supported by advertisements and micro-transactions. According to their website the only things you’ll be able to buy with real money is cosmetic upgrades like clothing and fancy hats and one screen shot suggests you’ll be able to buy a kilt. Freedom? If these videos don’t make your inner child smile, then we don’t know what will. Check out the other two videos after the break.
