When NCsoft acquired the City of Heroes license in 2007, they also created a development studio for it calling it NCsoft NorCal (in reference to its location in Mountain View, California) and took over its development from Cryptic Studios.
It appears NCsoft NorCal has received a name change to none other than Paragon Studios. Its name derives from Paragon City, a significant area in City of Heroes. “The renaming of our studio to Paragon Studios represents our devotion to the present and future of the City of Heroes series,” said general manager of Paragon Studios and executive producer for the City of Heroes franchise Brian Clayton. The development team of NCsoft NorCal have proven themselves well in the presence of NCsoft, soon their training will be complete and they can serve side-by-side with the emperors of NCsoft to crush the rebel forces or of course, they can just continue updating City of Heroes.
