…but possibly not the ones you thought. Instead, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Britain’s own Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton are set to square off in the forthcoming demo for Fight Night Round 4. According to the latest episode of GameTrailers TV, the junior-welterweight pairing will be the player-characters in May/June’s taster of EA’s new boxing sim.

Of course, the choice of boxers has nothing to do with Pacquiao and Hatton’s real-life battle for the title of best pound-for-pound fighter on May 2. Nope, nothing at all. Just a coincidence. Also, EA have not confirmed whether the demo will also feature the 20,000 lunatic Mancunians that usually travel with Hatton to fights. We’ll have to wait and see about that one.

Fight Night Round 4 hits PS3 and Xbox 360 this summer.
