A2M’s acrobatic shooter WET has been in release date limbo since the great Activision-Blizzard merger left it publisher-less, but with Bethesda Softworks officially taking over distribution duties, gamers can look forward to shooting and slashing their way through bewildered henchmen before the year is out.

According to today’s press release from Bethesda, WET looks to be right on track for a fall 2009 release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The release also reveals that gun-for-hire Rubi Malone will be voiced by Buffy-verse veteran and current Dollhouse headliner Eliza Dushku, who is certainly no stranger to playing tough as nails sexpots. From what we’ve seen of the dual gun-wielding protagonist, there’s going to be a lot more stylish, acrobatic and admittedly awesome killing than seduction, as proven by the new screenshots below.
