So maybe Matt Hazard’s first outing wasn’t as good as we hoped but we’re all for second chances here. D3 isn’t ready to let its satirical action hero go and is probably creating a second game in the Matt Hazard universe. Last week D3 filed for the trademark of Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond. We’re pretty sure it is a game because it’s filed under the software and electronic games category. The jury is still out on whether this game will be a full scale retail title or purely downloadable.

We applaud D3’s dedication to the Matt Hazard bit but we hope it takes the criticisms for Eat Lead to improve the next title. If there’s one thing we want more of it’s the good voice actors and self aware videogame dialogue.
