Put some Splinter Cell in your stocking
BY Jeremy Hill Apr. 29th, 2009 More on:

Ubisoft released its sales numbers for 2008-09 today. The company saw a 5.1% decrease in revenue for its forth quarter compared to the previous year while total sales for the year increased by 14%. Ubisoft credits the performance of H.A.W.X., My Fitness Coach, Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, and Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip to the majority of its forth quarter sales.

Besides all the sales figures Ubisoft also announced plans for next year and tipped us off in what’s coming by Christmas. We knew that Assassin’s Creed 2 and Red Steel 2 would be coming out but apparently Splinter Cell Conviction will be joining in on the party as well. A statement from Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot from the financial report reads,”The results of these efforts will be seen as early as this Christmas with one of the industry’s most ambitious games line-ups which will include Assassin’s Creed 2, James Cameron’s Avatar, Spliter Cell Conviction, Rabbids Go Home and Red Steel 2.”

Our wait is finally over it would seem. Hopefully we’ll be able to get our mitts on Splinter Cell Conviction at E3 in June.

I really hope the new Splinter Cell game comes out this Christmas. It seems like After the game was originally announced it just sort of fell off the radar and I hadn’t heard much of anything about it, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed

I hope they’ve rethought the whole thing as the daytime/social stealth didn’t really work imo. I’d like to see the series go back to the Chaos Theory days.
