Xbox 360 price drops in Japan
BY Jeremy Hill May. 4th, 2009 More on:

The Xbox 360 hasn’t been a beacon of hope in Japan in the past. Or ever. To remedy that Microsoft has grabbed some heavy hitting Japanese games for the console such as Resident Evil 5 and Final Fantasy XIII. However in these tough economic times money is the real deciding factor in which console will remain dominant which is why this is the perfect time for a Xbox 360 price cut in Japan.

The Xbox 360 Arcade will drop by $73.92 in Japan which will bring it down to 19,800 yen ($200). After this goes into effect it will become the cheapest of the current generation consoles in Japan just as it is in the West. We aren’t sure if the Pro or Elite models will also be getting a price cut or if any bundles are on the horizon.
