Rock Band and Pearl Jam sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g

If I were a betting man, I’d say that Harmonix <3s Pearl Jam (or vice versa), but even though I’m not, I’ll say it anyway. Back in March, Pearl Jam’s über popular album, Ten, that helped shape a generation into believing it was cold enough to wear flannel wherever they were, became available as DLC for Rock Band. It’s pretty safe to say the experience between the two parties lead to wild nights without an awkward morning parting because they’re getting back into bed together.

A posting over at the official Rock Band forums didn’t prance about stating MTV Games, Harmonix, Ten Club and Rhapsody are teaming up to bring a special project together dropping sometime next year. Fans are being asked to help vote (Rhapsody account required) on what the best live versions of certain Pearl Jam songs are for inclusion in whatever’s going on (list of tracks after the break). Whether this will be a DLC onslaught or a standalone release like the AC/DC pack has yet to be revealed, but rest assured, you’ll know as soon as we do.
